Who We Are

Since 1977, Resonance has been a special place for women…a place where hope and motivation replace shame as women learn to create a new life for themselves and their children. Founded by Eleanor Hill, Resonance began as a listening center offering support groups and educational workshops for women.

Today, Resonance has evolved to meet the needs of Oklahoma women impacted by the criminal justice system.  As a dually accredited gender-specific outpatient substance abuse treatment facility, Resonance provides women treatment in lieu of incarceration, allowing them to stay employed in the community and live with their families. For women serving prison time and struggling with addiction recovery, Resonance offers programming within state correctional facilities in Oklahoma, providing substance abuse treatment, relapse prevention, and reentry programs to prepare women for success.

We also work with women after release from prison, providing job readiness and employment assistance, addiction recovery treatment, transportation, housing, enrollment in public assistance, clothing, and ongoing case management. Women can apply to live and work at Take 2: A Resonance Café, a work and housing social enterprise. The restaurant and upstairs loft in downtown Tulsa provide women the opportunity to establish a positive work history, focusing on family reunification, skills training, and preparation for self-sufficiency. Clients can also apply to live at Resonance House, our transitional living facility.
